Captain Gregory

Instructor

Captain Gregory holds a USCG 100-Ton Master license and brings a lifetime of experience on the water. A South Florida resident since 1992, he has been boating for over 25 years. He proudly retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 21 years of service and has held his captain’s license for more than 11 years, backed by extensive real-world experience on both Coast Guard cutters and private vessels.


Captain Gregory's primary operating experience includes center consoles and motor yachts, along with significant time commanding cutters in the 100–200 foot range. This diverse background allows him to confidently train boaters on everything from performance handling to large yacht operations.


In addition to his captain’s license, Captain Gregory holds certifications in EMT, First Aid, CPR, Radar Observer, and Assistance Towing—reinforcing his strong commitment to safety and professional seamanship.


With expert local knowledge spanning from Miami to Boca Raton, Captain Gregory brings a well-rounded coastal perspective to every lesson. He believes South Florida is one of the best boating destinations in the world thanks to its year-round boating conditions and beautiful weather.


Captain Gregory is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop proper boat-handling skills, and enjoy boating safely—whether they’re new to the helm or looking to refine advanced techniques.
