Private lesson on a rental boat

Our 3-hour twin-engine rental lesson is a hands-on, on-the-water training session conducted aboard a twin-engine rental boat departing from Miami, led by a USCG-licensed captain. This lesson is ideal for boaters who want to gain real-world experience operating a twin-engine vessel without using their own boat. Training takes place at the marina and on open water, allowing you to learn and practice in the same conditions you’ll encounter during a typical rental or charter experience.

The lesson focuses on building confidence and control with twin-engine handling, including throttle management, steering techniques, and close-quarters maneuvering. Your captain will guide you through essential skills such as docking and undocking, rules of the road, radio etiquette, navigation and electronics overview, chart plotting, and anchoring, all tailored to the rental vessel and your experience level. By the end of the session, you’ll feel comfortable operating a twin-engine boat in Miami’s busy waterways, with the skills needed to boat safely and confidently.
