Private lesson on your boat

Our 4-hour private lesson is an in-depth, hands-on training session conducted on your boat with a USCG-licensed captain, ideal for twin-engine boats, larger vessels, or boaters who want to include trailering instruction at the boat ramp. This extended session allows more time at the helm, both at the marina and on the water, giving you the space to practice advanced techniques at a comfortable pace. Whether you’re stepping up to a bigger boat, learning to manage twin engines, or trailering your vessel, this lesson is designed to build confidence through real-world experience.

In addition to covering core boating fundamentals, the 4-hour lesson places extra emphasis on close-quarters maneuvering, advanced docking techniques, and engine control for twin-engine vessels. If trailering is included, your captain will guide you step-by-step through launching and retrieving your boat, proper ramp etiquette, safety checks, and efficient loading techniques. The lesson can also include navigation and electronics, rules of the road, radio communication, chart plotting, and anchoring, all customized to your boat and experience level. By the end of the session, you’ll have the skills and confidence to safely operate, dock, and trailer your vessel with control and precision.
