Private lesson on your boat

Our 3-hour private lesson is a hands-on, on-the-water training session conducted on your own boat, led by one of our USCG-licensed captains. The lesson takes place at the marina and out on the water, giving you real-world experience at the helm instead of time spent in a classroom. This session is designed to build a strong foundation for boaters operating vessels under 40 feet, focusing on practical skills you’ll use every time you leave the dock. By the end of the lesson, you’ll feel more confident, capable, and in control of your boat.

During the lesson, your captain will walk you through essential boating fundamentals, including a full safety equipment check, an overview of navigation and onboard electronics, close-quarters maneuvering, and proper rules of the road. You’ll also learn radio etiquette, basic chart plotting, anchoring techniques, and docking skills, all tailored to your boat and experience level. Every lesson is customized to ensure you leave with the knowledge and confidence to operate your boat safely in South Florida waters.
